ENPAA priorities
ENPAA’s priorities

ENPAA’s priorities are established through the Business Plan, and ENPAA meetings. Our work is both proactive, in setting out an agenda based on the needs of the National Park Authorities (NPAs), and reactive to the events and activities of Government and others. Current priorities include:
- supporting NPAs in their desire to tackle climate change both by reducing emissions and ensuring National Parks are able to adapt to those changes that are now inevitable;
- engaging with the Government’s Planning Bill in highlighting the need to protect current safeguards for National Parks from inappropriate development;
- ensuring more Government departments recognise the multiple public benefits that National Parks provide, and how the work of NPAs helps implement a wide range of policy objectives; and
- developing policy position statements that convey the collective views of the English National Park Authorities
