ENPAA works with partner organisations

English National Park Authorities Association

In representing the ten National Park Authorities (NPAs) and presenting a collective voice, ENPAA works with a wide range of other organisations.

We work closely with UK-ANPA that provides support and training for National Park Authority members and staff, and promotes the National Parks as places. We liaise with our sister organisation, WANPA (Welsh Association of National Park Authorities) that provides a voice in policy debates for the three Welsh NPAs. And we maintain a close relationship with CNP (Campaign for National Parks) that provides the voluntary sector voice for National Parks.

ENPAA provides the Secretariat for the All Party Parliamentary Group on National Parks, working closely with CNP. This group raises the profile of and seeks support for National Parks and areas meriting National Park status, within Parliament.

We recognise too the important place of National Parks within the broader protected areas community.  Regular contact is maintained with Natural England - the Government’s statutory body responsible for conserving and enhancing the natural environment and people’s experience and enjoyment of it. ENPAA also values its links with the National Association of Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and with EuroParc Atlantic Isles.

For the country to truly benefit from what National Parks have to offer, it will be important that all bodies whose activities - either directly or indirectly - affect National Parks, support their statutory purposes. ENPAA welcomes the opportunity to work with a wide range of bodies that share a commitment to National Park purposes.
